Welcome! This blog reflects more or less my description of living with Usher syndrome, my CI (cochlear implant) journey, my guide dog journey, and any random thoughts I may want to post.
Your Dad was handsome. Hold on to the special and fun memories of him. I am sure he is looking down from Heaven saying he is so proud of you and your family. HUGS, Molly CC
Sue-It's always that way. You take them for granted. One day they aren't going to be there anymore. I still have my mom, though I don't see her as much as I used to. Most of it is because I don't drive anymore and she is living with my sister and her husband. It would be a lot of walking to get there.
Jocelyn-I never thought about that. My memories of him are like that, but if I look at someone else's pic of a loved one who has passed on, I really didn't do that. I will have to keep that in mind.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Molly. I am sure of that, too. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteThis is a reminder to me that although sometimes they drive me nuts, my parents won't be around forever. Thank you for the wake up call.
ReplyDeleteMichelle- :)

I look at this photo and try to envision him animated and moving and talking.
ReplyDeleteThat's what your memory is for, I guess.
Lovely moment for him.

ReplyDeleteIn Ink-:) Thanks.
